We are a large GP practice on the west side of Rochdale Lancashire. This website is provided mainly as a means of communicating with our patients and offering them alternative ways of contacting the surgery and requesting services.

We also have a practice booklet which you can view or print here

June-Sept 2017

From 1st July, we will be open from 8am-6.30pm. Surgery times will remain the same.

Please note that we are launching a new look website from September so will not be updating this one, or our newsletter, until then.

We have a new policy regarding fees and charges for non NHS services. Download it here, or ask at reception for a copy.

We still have 2 GP vacancies due to a national shortage of doctors, so you will continue to have difficulty getting GP appointments. In order to book you in with the most appropriate professional for your appointment, you will be asked the reason for your request. You do not have to give this, but it really does help. Please also try to help us and your fellow patients by cancelling appointments you no longer need.

Due to safety issues and in line with guidance from the CQC, we regret that we will no longer be able to accept repeat prescription requests over the phone from 1st September. Please order online, via your pharmacy, in person at the desk, or by submission of your reorder slip in the post or by fax.
Our local CCG has developed a policy which may mean we do not prescribe certain items which are not true medicines or are available cheaply from pharmacies and other retail outlets. Click here for details. Please note that local pharmacies are independent organisations whose operation is outside our control. We would therefore ask you to address any complaints or comments about their services directly to them, not to us.

Our new appointment system is now established, and should help us cope better with demand, but is under pressure. We have adjusted the system to offer more of a mixture of telephone and face-to-face appointments in response to your suggestions. See the News Page for more information, or click here

All patients are allocated a named GP who is responsible for your overall care at the practice. A member of the practice team will be able to let you know who your GP is. Should you have a preference for your named GP, please contact the Office Manager who will endeavour to accommodate your request. This does not prevent you from being able to see/speak to any GP you choose.

A doctor can see 6 patients in surgery in the time it takes to do one home visit. Do you really need one?

We are now required to publish details of GP earnings. Click here for details
